Since 2014, Futaleuf\u00fa has been a pioneer in eliminating disposable plastic bags, and in 2016 it built a comprehensive household waste treatment and composting center. dating back to 1912, when the first Chilean settlers, such as the family of Ceferino Moraga, arrived from Chilo\u00e9. The municipality was officially founded on April 9, 1929, and its evolution from an isolated settlement to a vibrant tourist destination is a testament to the effort and resilience of its inhabitants. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to its rich history, Futaleuf\u00fa keeps alive the gaucho and huaso traditions characteristic of its local culture. Places like the Espol\u00f3n and El Azul sectors are ideal for connecting with this heritage, enjoying mate, horseback riding, and the hospitality of its people.
