Island in Coyhaique, Pollux Lake – Aysén Region

Welcome to a small and beautiful island of 6400m² located in Pollux Lake, 30kms from the city of Coyhaique in the Aysen Region.

This island in Coyhaique is the only one in Pollux Lake and is located only 170mts from the nearest shore and 1.5kms from the easement where you can park your vehicle and boat to access the place.

The property has no buildings, water or electricity. However, you can build a waterwheel or well and power it with solar panels or an aero generator. On the other hand, if you have phone signal and mobile data.

The topography of the island is flat, and it does not flood, since the lake is fed by water tables that allow a stable level, with a maximum oscillation of one meter during the year.

In flora you will find mostly langas, ñire, calafate and grass, all within an orderly and clean forest. In fauna there is a variety of birds including swallows, tagua, ducks, black-necked swans and rainbow trout.

The access to the place is from the city of Coyhaique, southern austral highway and then 14kms of gravel road. You can also access directly from the Balmaceda airport, taking 20 minutes to get to the shore where you can have your boat.
